Fathom Systems provides engineering solutions and products to the commercial diving industry, ROV and underwater engineering industry.

We use up to date, proven technology to produce a range of high quality and reliable products backed up with unrivalled customer support as well as consultancy, project engineering and operations support.

Established in 2005 by a team of experienced engineers, we are dedicated to creating first class products and systems that fulfill our motto of, "intelligence Underwater".

News

New Products Launched

There are four new exciting products in the Fathom Commercial Diving portfolio:
Digital Diver Communications System – Using the latest high fidelity digital signal processing techniques, precision analogue interfaces, fibre-optic network and both wireless and touchscreen user interfaces, these modular systems will change the way we communicate with divers in the water or in the chambers.
Diver Camera & Hat Light Power Supply – Providing power and control of diver hat cameras and LED or incandescent lights with a built-in video overlay system, active video signal processing / equalisation and software control either locally or over Ethernet.
Stand-alone Paramagnetic O2 Analyser – Never change another Fuel-Cell again! This new product offers affordable, reliable and accurate oxygen analysis/sensing using state of the art paramagnetic technology. Whether used as a Fuel-Cell replacement with existing analysers, as a stand-alone analyser or as a part of a Fathom gas analysis system, this new product offers long-term cost savings.
3-Channel Air Radio Diver Comms – Based on the proven iBIS diver communications systems (as used on Seven Atlantic and Skandi Arctic), these 3-channel + supervisor diver comms units offer incredible clarity and quality in a robust 3U 19” package. 9 units are currently in service. - September 2011
**We have moved!** We are now fully operational from our new headquarters at the former Stonehaven Coastal Radio Station, overlooking Dunnottar Castle. Our workshops have now relocated to the new site bringing all operations together in one location.

Fathom Systems join Subsea UK

Fathom Systems Ltd is now a member of Subsea UK, one of the oil and gas business' leading industry bodies. We are pleased to announce that we will also be attending Subsea UK as exhibitors from the 9th-10th February 2011 at the AECC.

On the cover of Offshore Engineer

We recently supplied one of our intelligent Valve Packs (iVP) to Wachs for a new ROV set for work in the Gulf of Mexico with Chevron. Fathom Systems are delighted that our iVP features on the November cover of Offshore Engineer through this project.

FSL has moved

As of April 2011, Fathom Systems are operating from new premises. Our new offices are at Stonehaven coastal radio station, located near the local landmark of Dunnottar Castle.

Seven Havila

Subsea 7 have recently completed the build of a state of the art 24-man diving support vessel (Seven Havila). This vessel incorporates a revolutionary diving system design created by Draeger in Lubeck, Germany. The twin-bell system incorporates advanced automation technologies developed in-house by Draeger, and in realising this Fathom Systems have been selected to supply the complete divers' gas analysis systems for the vessel. In addition, Fathom are also supplying the bell onboard-gas instrumentation and umbilical termination boxes. Fathom Systems have also supplied two complete redundant Diver Communications systems for the two Diving Bells.

iBIS Bell Mux

Fathom Systems have recently delivered four complete Diving Bell fibre-optic multiplexer systems which provide a state of the art communications link between the surface vessel and the Divers. These systems are installed on two 24-man twin-bell diving systems for the Skandi Arctic (Technip) and Seven Atlantic (Subsea 7). The iBIS system provides NORSOK compliant diver monitoring, telemetry and video transmission over optical fibre and integrated high-quality digital diver voice communications.
