Fathom Systems are the appointed engineering product design specialists for The Tritech intelligent gyrocompass (iGC) and intelligent fibre optic gyro (iFG) product range of solid-state navigation sensors.
The fully marinised iGC combines 3 x angular rate gyros with 3 x orthogonal DC accelerometers and 3 x orthogonal magnetometers. This makes the iGC an invaluable heading sensor and motion reference unit for ROV and AUV applications.
The iFG unit provides additional heading stability when used in conjunction with the iGC or other heading and motion reference units. It uses a single axis fibre optic sensor mounted inside an extruded aluminium housing, which must be mounted in a single atmosphere pod.
Our Gyrocompass Products also extend to a range of Intelligent Interface Electronics designed to replace ageing ROV MUX based Heading Interface PCB’s.
These can be used in conjunction with the iGC & iFG or supplied as a stand-alone direct replacement for the existing card.
